Abstract: Jeff Hammerbacher will discuss three novel data stores built by the Facebook Data team over the past year. He'll also discuss some of the tools the team has built to facilitate the analysis and visualization of data as well as the major priorities for the Data team over the coming year.

Bio: Jeff Hammerbacher leads the Data team at Facebook. His work involves understanding and facilitating the flow of information between people. He's particularly interested in the system infrastructure and algorithmic challenges of analyzing massive data sets. Before joining Facebook, Jeff wore a suit on Wall Street and did Mathematics at Harvard.
