Ahmed Amer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Santa Clara University. He received his Ph.D. working with Prof. Darrell Long on predicting actions in data storage systems based on history. His research includes work on the predictive grouping of data, energy management, and storage systems reliability.
