• Feb. 12, 2008: SSRC welcomes new associates
  
• March 13, 2008: The Spring 2008 SSRC seminar series will be held on Wednesdays at noon in E2-599.
  
• March 14, 2008: StorageMojo.com's favorite FAST 08 paper was the paper on Pergamum, a disk-based archival storage system.

• May 16, 2008: Pergamum project poster wins runner up award in the Best Engineering Presentation category at UCSC Graduate Symposium
  
• May 18, 2008: The 6th annual SSRC retreat will be held May 20-21, 2008.
  
• May 19, 2008: The SSRC hosted a file and storage system benchmarking workshop, chaired by Erez Zadok, on May 19th.
  
• May 28, 2008: Congratulations to Deepavali Bhagwat, who has been awarded a prestigious scholarship from the ARCS Foundation.
  
• Sept. 11, 2008: SSRC meetings for Fall 2008 will be on Wednesdays at 11:30 AM starting on October 1st.
  
• Nov. 13, 2008: Congratulations to David Pease, who successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis!
  
• Nov. 26, 2008: SSRC meetings for Winter 2009 will be on Wednesdays at noon starting on January 7th.
  
• Dec. 16, 2008: An SSRC paper on scalable metadata management will appear at the FAST '09 conference in February 2009.
  
• Dec. 17, 2008: SSRC student Deepavali Bhagwat is a coauthor of a paper at FAST '09.
