• Jan. 14, 2010: The first Industrial Advisory Board meeting for the Center for Intelligent Storage Research (CRIS) will be held Jan. 21–22.
  
• Feb. 18, 2010: The Pergamum project was mentioned by New Scientist magazine in an article on long-term archival storage.
  
• March 31, 2010: Weekly SSRC meetings for Spring 2010 will be on Wednesdays at 12:00 PM in E2-599, starting March 31st.
  
• April 28, 2010: The 8th annual SSRC research retreat will be held June 2, 2010 on the UC Santa Cruz campus.
  
• May 6, 2010: The Ceph distributed file system, developed by SSRC faculty and students, was mentioned on Slashdot.
  
• May 21, 2010: Darrell Long has been selected to be the next Editor in Chief of the journal ACM Transactions on Storage.
  
• June 15, 2010: The SSRC coordinated the donation of 350 computer science texts to Universidad Católica del Uruguay.
  
• Aug. 11, 2010: Congratulations to Dr. Deepavali Bhagwat, who defended her dissertation on August 10th!
  
• Aug. 16, 2010: The Summer 2010 CRIS IAB meeting was held August 12-13 at the University of Minnesota.
  
• Aug. 20, 2010: The Winter 2010 CRIS IAB meeting will be held February 21-22, 2011 in Santa Cruz.
  
• Sept. 10, 2010: Darrell Long has been named Profesor ad Honorem by Universidad Católica del Uruguay – Dámaso Antonio Larrañaga.
  
• Sept. 14, 2010: Weekly SSRC meetings for Fall 2010 will be on Wednesdays at 12:00 PM in E2-599, starting September 29th.
