SSRC Faculty Recognized with Diversity Award

Professor Darrell Long, director of the Storage Systems Research Center, has been recognized with the Chancellor's Achievement Award for Diversity for SSRC's work in recruiting, retaining and graduating a diverse set of highly skilled students. SSRC accomplishments in this area are evident in the lab's researchers, over half of whom are female, an unfortunately uncommon trait in a research-active computer science group. The researchers at the SSRC also represent a variety of various ethnicities, cultures, racial backgrounds and points of view critical to producing a rich and innovative environment for groundbreaking research.
